Who Dat Wednesday! (Amanda Diva)

Well this is the segment of the week where I will feature a new musical artist who I think everyone should keep an eye out for.

Today's artist is Amanda Diva!



She's not exactly new, she has been doing her thing for a minute. The actress/ poet/ singer/lyricist/painter/television host had an early start as a kid actress on the 94-95 Nickelodeon show My Brother and Me. After that show was canceled. Diva, fell off the radar a bit, pursuing her education. However in 2002 she debuted on Def Poetry Jam performing an original poem called "Hot Shit" (A personal favorite of mine)




After that she did everything from hosting a show on MTV2 to DJing the Hip-Hop Nation radio show on Sirius all while recieving her degree in African American studies from Columbia University.

In 07 she toured as the other half of Floetry replacing Natalie Stewart. That same year she released her debut LP entitled Life Experience. Here's a single from that album...
